President-Elect
Mt. San Jacinto College

February 2020 marked my 12th anniversary at Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC). I currently serve in the Career Education Department providing department and program support and coordination.

My senate service began 10 years ago when I was persuaded to get involved in the college culture. As of June 2020, I will be completing my 10-year service on the MSJC Classified Senate continuing to mentor future senate boards. I have served in the roles of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Past President, and Senator-at-Large (every position). Understanding the valuable role classified professionals play in the campus community, I continually seek to elevate our presence in college governance and decision-making. This understanding is what inspired me to join the 4CS Executive Board four years ago.

Although classified senate work and the mission and values of 4CS have driven me to where I am today, my peers are what inspire me the most. I am reminded daily to work harder, challenge myself, and dream bigger, remaining humble and grateful to those who have supported me along the way. I come from humble beginnings and am a lifelong learner. My higher education journey began in the community college system. This enabled me to explore options and find a path that suited me (and change my mind a few times) before moving to 4-year options. After a lot of exploration and self-discovery, I settled on degrees in Business Administration and Business Management; although my journey took me through pre-law, pre-med, psychology, and criminal justice. What can I say...squirrel! As President-Elect, my goal is to learn, support, encourage, inspire, and motivate my colleagues across the state. To go beyond what you think you can do, and to advocate for classified professionals. Stay educated, challenge others, step out of your comfort zone, actively listen, and don't be afraid to ask why. I'm here to listen and advocate for you and ask that you "Pay it forward." Let's work together to advocate for ourselves and each other every day. We cannot forget the pivotal role we play in the CCC System and Student Success!

I am married with two beautiful daughters and a maltipoo puppy Pheobe. My hobbies include learning/exploring new things, traveling, reading, baking, hiking, visiting Temecula Wine Country, fitness, dancing, and a love for music that feeds my soul. And...the beach/ocean is my absolute sanctuary!
