Krista Collett
North 1 Area Representive
Butte College
I first came to Butte College as a College Connection student. After completing two years, I enlisted in the United States Navy. When my service was over, eleven years ago, I returned to Butte College and began my career as an Administrative Secretary in Career & Employment Services and then later transferred to the Art Department.
In my current role, I am the Administrative Secretary to the Dean of Student Services, supporting SSSP and Student Equity.
In addition to my job duties, I have supported participatory governance and been actively involved with campus activities and committees including: Enrollment Management, College Council, Leadership Butte, and Student Equity Cultural Awareness Community of Practice to name a few, as well as serving on hiring committees and attending training to become a CSEA Job Steward.
I have served on the Classified Senate for several years, occupying the positions of Senator, Secretary, Treasurer, V.P. of Public Relations, and will serve as President for the 2017-18 term.
