Central 2 Area Representive

I work for Fresno City College (FCC) as a Research Coordinator in the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment, and Planning. FCC is part of State Center Community College District (SCCCD) along with Reedley College, Clovis Community College, Madera Center, Oakhurst Center, and the Career and Technology Center. I have worked for SCCCD for over 10 years.
I have held several positions as a classified professional including department secretary, office assistant III, administrative aide, and research assistant. I also worked as a classified professional at a private 4 year university as a student success coordinator, international student program coordinator, and assessment systems manager.
It has been my pleasure to be actively involved in participatory governance and I have been a member of numerous committees. I currently am a member of the Program Review Committee, Institutional Research and Effectiveness Committee, Outcomes and Assessment Committee, Human Resources Committee, and Accreditation Steering Committee. I particularly appreciate the opportunity to serve on the program review committee as it provides the opportunity for an in-depth look at the programs and services offered at FCC.
Serving on the FCC Classified Senate as the representative for several departments on campus has allowed me to connect with colleagues and keep them informed of institutional plans and decisions. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn from colleagues and engage in participatory governance processes. As the Central 2 area representative I look forward to serving colleagues and learning more about how the classified professionals support student success on their campus.
