As a 15 year Community College staff member I continue to enroll in classes and participate in leadership opportunities. I am currently the Classified Senate President at Sacramento City College and have also served on Standing Committees and my local Union; as-well-as statewide organizations such as 4CS and CCLC. Within my community, I volunteer with local and statewide Portuguese organizations (IDES, APC, PHCS) and as a member of Girl Scouts for almost 20 years. Even though I am not home much I have a large garden and I relax by working in it. I have been blessed with a very supportive family and the friends I’ve made throughout the state. My motto is Live, Love, Laugh and Learn.
