I am honored to have worked for Sierra College for over 35 years as a classified staff member, as student help and as a part-time faculty member (teaching biology in the classroom, online and in the field throughout North America). I am currently employed as the Biological Sciences Instructional Assistant at Sierra College. I have now completed four AA degrees at Sierra, a B.S. in Biological Sciences from California State University, Chico and also a Masters in Biological Sciences at California State University, Sacramento, as well as attending numerous training workshops on a variety of topics provided by 4CS, Sierra, UC Davis, and other educational institutions. (Not bad for someone with a 1.4 grade point average after the first year of college.) I love sharing what I have learned with others, and therefore, enjoy giving speeches, presentations and facilitating workshops where participants discover the abilities they possess within. The California Community Colleges Classified Senate has a tremendous potential to improve the California Community College system for its students, communities and classified staff. I wish to be a contributor to its efforts and future growth. |
